Jessie Steiner

Jessie Steiner grew up immersed in the dressage world, riding alongside her parents — her mother Betsy Steiner, a 1990 World Equestrian Games team member, and her father Uwe Steiner, a well-known clinician and trainer. From a young age, Jessie was involved in working with all the horses on the farm and developing her eye for training.

Jessie has trained both in the US and in Germany to continually refine her skills. In 1996 she spent two months riding with Klaus Balkenhol in Germany, and in 2006 she worked with Michael Ripploh for two months of focused riding and study. She has been an FEI rider and trainer since 1995 and has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver medals on horses she trained herself.

After acting as Assistant Trainer and managing the business operations of Betsy Steiner Dressage since 1995, Jessie opened Steiner Dressage as her own training business in 2011. She has trained many horses up to FEI levels, developed the careers of talented young horses, and coached clients ranging from beginners to competitive upper-level amateurs. Jessie teaches at home and travels for clinics across the country.

Steiner Dressage is based in New Jersey and Wellington, Florida, giving students access to the Florida show season in winter and the beauty of New Jersey horse country in summer.
